Scorn was
created by Mick Harris in 1991 to create rhythmic, hypnotic drum and
bass music, later pushing the uniqely throbbing low end, ethereal
sounds and immense beats into new uncharted musical territory and,
in the process, has redefined the world of ambient dub. Scorn has
emerged as a god of both the post-rock and isolationist aesthetics;
appropriating such distinctly communal musics as hip-hop and dub to
extreme, individualistic ends. Living, breathing nightmare music for
huge dub soundsystems, the Scorn sound fills the room and wraps you
in
a dark, warm and gentle embrace of low frequencies... as a soundscape
of moans, screams and muffled howls breathe in and out of the speakers
to create a setting for brutal introspection and self-confrontation.
Refreshingly brutal.

Autopsia‘s art practice began in London in late '70ies of the last
century, continued during '80ies in art centers of the former Yugoslavia
and since 1990, Autopsia acts from Prague. At the beginning of its
activity Autopsia issued a dozen of MCs, in the period after 1989,
twenty CDs were issued, at first for Staalplaat from Amsterdam, then

One of its compositions is a part of the soundtrack for Peter Greenaway's
film The Pillow Book. Music production of Autopsia is associated with
a large graphic production which consists of original graphic objects,
design of flyers, booklets, CDs and a Web Page autopsia.net, with
its offsprings: Autopsia TV and Illuminating
Technologies.

Combat Recordings label
boss Stormfield was born in the Far East, relocating to England to
pursue electronic music. He co-ordinated with the Liquid Injured Hearing
radio sessions for Fuel Records on Breaks FM, and now runs Combat
while regularly DJing various soundsystems in England and abroad.
Absorbing dark, fierce and strange noises from electronica, grime,
dub, electro, breakbeat and then chopping, mangling and spitting them
back out again in fluid, danceable form to create the Combat sound.
